A Brief History of the Position

The primary responsibilities of the Science Representative include, but are not limited to:

- Representing the interests and concerns of Science students, with special effort to inform and involve these students in the King’s Community;
- Sitting as a voting member of the Dalhousie Science Society, represent King’s interests as a
member of this Society and report to Council on its proceedings;
- Directing involvement of students in issues of an academic nature;
- Sitting on the Academic Committee;
- Overseeing the Science Society;
- Receiving and reviewing a summary of decisions made by the executive committee;

- Spending at least one hour a week in the King's Students' Union office, to answer questions from constituents;
- Maintaining good attendance for each meeting of the King's Students' Union Council;
- Performing other such duties as Council may from time to time determine.
