Position: Journalism Representative

Tuesday: 1:15pm – 2:15pm 

A Brief History of the Position

The primary responsibilities of the Journalism  Representative include, but are not limited to:

- Representing the interests and concerns of specifically students in the four-year Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) program, with special effort to inform and involve these students in the King’s Community;
- Working as liaisons with the Executive of the Union’s representatives in any discussion pertaining to the Department of Journalism;
- Directing involvement of students in issues of an academic nature;
- Sitting on the Academic Committee;
- Receiving and reviewing a summary of decisions made by the executive committee;

- Spending at least one hour a week in the King's Students' Union office, to answer questions from constituents;
- Maintaining good attendance for each meeting of the King's Students' Union Council;
- Performing other such duties as Council may from time to time determine.
