The King’s Students’ Union is your voice on campus: upon registration, all King’s students are automatically members of the King’s Students’ Union. The KSU acts as the collective voice of King’s students, provides advocacy and representation through its Executive and Councillors, and offers a number of services, such as the Health & Dental Plan, free contraceptives (what a big word… that’s free condoms folks!), intramural sports programs, and the Galley and HMCS Wardroom. The work of the Councillors and Executive of the Union is undeniably impressive, and each of their responsibilities and duties is detailed in their individual profiles and in the Bylaws. However, their work for the KSU would be done in vain without the passion and understanding of its student constituency that it works for. So please, try your best to become involved in your student union as much as your student union is involved in your day-to-day life. For more information as to how the King’s Students’ Union or the Canadian Federation of Students works to benefit you, swing by the KSU office located on the main floor of the Link between the New Academic Building and the Arts & Administration Building, or refer to the KSU Student Handbook. You may also contact the office by phone at 429-3399. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest and greatest union news.
